Crawfordsville Asphalt Paving

Anchored by Wabash College on one end and heavy industry on the other, Crawfordsville gives us the full spread of paving work in one town. Nucor's steel operation and the Lakeside Book printing plant sit among the biggest employers in Montgomery County, and the industrial corridors that serve them, out US-231 and along Nucor Road, need pavement engineered for loaded trucks, not passenger cars. That is commercial lot work and heavy section repair, and it is a solid share of what we do here.

Residential Crawfordsville is a different job entirely. The historic streets near the college and around the Elston Grove district have driveways squeezed between century-old houses, narrow, shaded, and often shared. Tight-access paving is its own skill, the big paver stays on the trailer and the crew works with the small machine and hand tools where the lot demands it.

Sugar Creek's drainage basin also means parts of town sit on soils that hold water, and pavement over wet ground fails early. We check drainage before quoting anything in the flatter blocks, and we will tell you if a French drain or regrade needs to happen before asphalt makes sense. It is about 35 minutes from our Lafayette yard straight down US-231.
