About Asphalt Paving Lafayette

Asphalt Paving Lafayette is a locally owned and operated paving company serving Lafayette and the surrounding counties since 2012. Before starting this company, our owner Randy ran a paver crew for one of the big Indianapolis highway contractors for 11 years, which is why our residential driveways get laid with the same compaction discipline as a state road job. It is a small crew on purpose: Randy quotes every job himself, Marcus runs the screed, and Randy's son Cody is on the roller.

With outfits like American Paving & Asphalt, Brooks Brothers Driveways, and the big Indianapolis contractors all bidding work in the Lafayette area, we understand picking a paving company can feel like a coin flip. All we ask is a chance to quote your job. Our estimates are free and written, our mix comes from the plant here in town, and when the job is done you will see us at the grocery store, which is its own kind of warranty.

Services We Offer

Driveway paving and replacement, commercial parking lot paving and maintenance, asphalt resurfacing and overlays, sealcoating, hot rubber crack sealing, pothole repair and patching, gravel-to-asphalt conversions, parking lot striping and ADA markings, and farm and agricultural paving. We also take on the odd jobs that do not fit a category: RV pads, basketball and sport court bases, speed bumps, dumpster pads, walking paths, and concrete removal ahead of new asphalt. If it involves blacktop, ask.

A note from Randy

I started this company in 2012 after eleven years laying highway for a contractor out of Indianapolis, mostly because I got tired of driving past driveways in my own town that somebody had paved thin and walked away from. First season it was me, a rented paver, and my cousin's dump truck, and honestly we nearly lost money on half those jobs figuring out what fair prices were. We kept the first dollar we made framed in the shop. Fourteen years later most of our work comes from referrals and repeat customers, which in this trade is the only scoreboard that matters. One thing to know before you call: we do not schedule estimates on Purdue home-game Saturdays in the fall. Half the crew has season tickets and I gave up fighting it years ago.
